Wexford Enterprise Centre responds to the Government’s move to Level 3 of the Living with COVID-19 Plan and reinstates Stage 3 of its own Covid-19 Business Continuity Plan

To comply with the latest Government decision to move all Counties to Level 3, Wexford Enterprise Centre will introduce the following restriction to the operations of the Centre:

From Wednesday, 7 October, only Tenants and their staff will be allowed entry to the Centre, Monday to Friday and then only between the hours of 8am to 5.30 pm. Occupation of the Centre outside of these hours including weekends, will not be possible, without consultation with the Centre management.

All entry and exit doors including the Main Reception Door will be locked at all times. Access to the building will only be available with key access through the Front Reception Door which will remain as the only entry point to the building. Any person unlocking this door at any time must re-lock it after them. Each Tenant is responsible for getting their staff in and out of the building. Exiting the Centre remains through the McConnell Door and must never be left in an open position.

In addition, deliveries of services or goods in the normal manner will no longer be possible and outgoing post will no longer be accepted from Tenants at reception. Meeting rooms will no longer be available, and the Smoking Shelter will be closed.

All Tenants and their staff are reminded to continue to observe personal health and safety procedures including non-invasive temperature checks, hand-sanitising, wearing of a facemasks and social distancing.

The Centre Point Café will offer a Takeaway Service (only) to Tenant Companies with a limited menu. The Café will operate from 8.30am, Monday to Friday, and will close its doors strictly at 2pm each day. If required, orders can be booked in advance at anna@ovendoorcatering.ie or 053 9144055.

Dulann set to expand its operations

Without a doubt, this is a challenging time for the SME sector. But for Dulann, one of the resident companies located at Wexford Enterprise Centre, it is taking the opportunity to invest and grow its business.

Dulann is a Digital Transformation Company, though perhaps to the wider public, it is known more for its e-learning services, which only accounts for approximately 5-10% of their overall business.

Dulann specialises in applying technology to existing paperwork type systems to help companies to increase their compliance and efficiency. ‘Compliance is very much paperwork driven, so by deploying advances in technology, Dulann helps it’s clients to become far more efficient and cost effective. With the increased number of employees working remotely, conducting business by digital methods is more critical than ever’. Danone, Glanbia, Virgin Media and Zurich Insurance are just a few of their clients.

CEO Damian Donlon established Dulann in 2010, in the middle of the last recession. Now 10 years in operation, it employs 26 people throughout its network of offices all over Ireland and is currently looking to expanding its workforce. ‘Having started during the last recession helped us to adapt quickly to the current economic impact from the Covid-19 fall-out. The fact that we went through the last recession played a big part in how we are currently handling this one.’

The Coffee Dock – a reimagined social space at the heart of Wexford Enterprise Centre

Wexford Enterprise Centre is delighted to announce the opening of The Coffee Dock.

Reimagined in May 2025 to better serve the needs of our growing tenant community, the Coffee Dock has replaced the former Centre Point Café as the new social hub of Wexford Enterprise Centre.

Designed with flexibility and comfort in mind, the Coffee Dock offers tenants a welcoming space to take a break, enjoy a coffee, meet with clients, or catch up with fellow tenants. It’s a place where casual conversations can spark collaboration and community.

Tenants can enjoy:

  • Barista-style self-serve Nespresso coffee

  • A selection of fresh sandwiches, wraps, and snacks from the vending machine

  • Comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere

Wexford Enterprise Centre prepares to ease restrictions on access

Ahead of the easing of Government restrictions, Wexford Enterprise Centre is implementing new guidelines for tenant companies, their guests and the general public wishing to enter the premises. From Monday, 29 June, public access to the Centre will resume for the first time since March 23. Entrance to Wexford Enterprise Centre is restricted to the main reception area only, where anyone can gain access to the Centre once they sanitise their hands and undergo a non-invasive temperature check before entering. These health and safety protocols were introduced on March 12 as part of Stage 2 of WEC’s 5-STEP Business Continuity Plan.

In addition to the continued hygiene and temperature practices, a movement-flow system within the 60,000 square feet building, as well the instillation of mirrors at key corridor junction points have been installed to assist in social distancing measures. The Centre Point Café and various meeting rooms will reopen to the general public on Thursday, 9 July 2020 under health and wellbeing guidelines.

The potential adverse impact of the COVID-19 outbreak to businesses located at WEC was flagged in advance of the government restrictions and procedures and information were promptly distributed. Increased hygiene practices, guidelines and facemasks were issued to tenant companies on March 2 as the first step of a 5-STEP proactive COVID-19 Business Continuity Plan which anticipated the escalation of the spread of the virus and the subsequent restrictions that would be implemented in order to contain the rate of infection. This proactive plan addressed and minimised the potential impact the restrictions would place on WEC tenant companies and their staff, which totals over 150.

Wexford Enterprise moves to Stage 3.5 of the Covid-19 Business Continuity Plan

With further government restrictions on the movement of people not involved in the provision of ‘essential services’, any company whose services or products are not included in the Government’s list of ‘essential services’, will unfortunately no longer be able to gain access to Wexford Enterprise Centre.

Wexford Enterprise moves to Stage 3 of the Covid-19 Business Continuity Plan

Following the substantial increase in the rate of infection within the general public, Wexford Enterprise Centre has decided to move to Stage 3 of the Business Continuity Plan effectively immediately.

Going forward, it will be necessary to restrict entry into Wexford Enterprise Centre to tenants and their staff only. As all entry and exit doors, including shutter doors, must now be locked at all times. Each tenant will be responsible for getting their staff in and out of the building. Anyone unlocking the main reception door, which continues to be the only point of entry, must ensure that it is locked again after them. In addition, anyone excepting a delivery, must make arrangements to meet the delivery agent outside of the building, as they will not be allowed to enter.

Wexford Enterprise moves to Stage 2 of the Covid-19 Business Continuity Plan

Following today’s government announcement of restrictions imposed to restrict the escalation of the Covid-19 virus, Wexford Enterprise Centre will move to implement Stage 2 of the Business Continuity Plan.

From Monday, 16 March, WEC will now only be open weekdays from 8am to 6pm. Access to the building will not be permitted outside this time without written consent from management. Effective immediately, entrance to the building will be through the main reception only at which point, a non-invasive temperature check will be conducted. It is also necessary to cancel all training courses and Meeting Room bookings and to close the Centre Point Café until further notice. While visitors will still be allowed into the building under Stage 2 guidelines, tenants are encouraged to eliminate all unnecessary travel and to move to phone or video link-based meetings if possible.

In addition to the operational changes implemented in Stage 1 on March 2 which included increasing the number of hand-sanitising dispensing points throughout the building and increasing its cleaning and disinfecting schedules, access into Wexford Enterprise Centre will now be through the main reception only.

Wexford Enterprise issues 5-Step Business Continuity Plan in anticipation of the spread of Covid-19

In response to the first reported case of Covid-19 in Ireland, a 5-Step Business Continuity Plan was issued to all resident businesses located in Wexford Enterprise Centre in anticipation of possible government restrictions which may be imposed in an effort to help curb the escalation of the virus.

As a result, all 32 resident businesses were issued with:
• A personnel planning sheet – detailing basic protective and procedural measures, as advised by the WHO, for companies to consider implementing to help protect their staff.
• A Business Continuity sheet – detailing basic policy and procedural measures suggest by the Business Continuity Institute to support and protect businesses from the economic impact that could occur should the virus spread.
• Face masks.

Interactive Screen Wexford Enterprise Centre

New Interactive Directory at Wexford Enterprise Centre

Interactive Screen Wexford Enterprise CentreA new interactive directory is the latest addition to Wexford Enterprise Centre. Located in the reception of Wexford Enterprise Centre, the 65″ LED screen responds to touch. Each of the businesses located at the Centre has a profile page.

Visitors to the Centre can select the business they are visiting and a new screen appears. A short description about the business selected along with a photograph of the business owner appears on screen. A map of the floor where the business is located highlights where you are now and the route to the business you are visiting. Select “Back” and the screen changes to the original directory for the Centre.Interactive screen 4

This simple to use touch screen features a QR code for each of the businesses located at the Centre. This can be scanned to any smart phone and the website of the business you have scanned appears.

The Interactive Screen is one of the first of its kind in Ireland and is another example of our commitment to continuously improve the services we provide to our tenants and visitors.

 

 

 

New Startup Hub “The Cube” at Wexford Enterprise Centre

We are delighted to announce the development of a new Start-Up Hub at Wexford Enterprise Centre. 8-10 individual Cubes will be specifically designed for those who wish to transform their vision into reality without the higher cost of individual unit or office rental. Here, business start-ups will share space with other start-ups with a desk to work from, electricity, high speed broadband and a private meeting room for a fixed all-inclusive price.

In association with the Wexford Local Enterprise Office, each entrepreneur will become a member of a start-up programme tailored to their specific needs. This innovative programme includes participation in a free Start your own Business course, two mentoring sessions in  disciplines of your choice and access to successful entrepreneurs who will share the benefits of their own start-up experience.
