Who we are

History:

Wexford Enterprise Centre’s governing body; Innovation Wexford was established in 1986 to combat high local levels of unemployment, social exclusion and marginalisation, and to create an environment that nurtures and supports job creation within the county.

It is a community based social entrepreneurial Organisation and Innovation Wexford is the registered trade name of Wexford Community Development Association. This community based Organisation is governed by a voluntary board of management under the guidance of its Chairperson Tom Williams and the vice chairperson Philp Scallan. Its management and strategic development is delivered by the association’s CEO, Brendan Ennis and a dedicated team of committed staff members.

Wexford Enterprise Centre is Innovation Wexford’s largest initiative and together with Enterprise Ireland was a driving force behind the establishment and development of the South East Enterprise Centre Association (SEECA) and the National Asociation of Community Enterprise Centres (NACEC). Other Innovation Wexford Initiatives include Recycling 2000, Datagroup and Celtic Enterprises.
